Lidia Shaddow was born and raised in Israel. At age 14, she immigrated to the United States with her parents. After initially studying in the School of Visual Arts in New York, she received her BFA in 1987 from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.  Shaddow's art work consists mainly of oil, acrylic and gold leaf paintings on wood panels and canvas. It is known for its strong and vivid sense of color, rich textures juxtaposing with immaculate drawings and intricate patterns. Currently she is working with digital media while making books from wood and ropes. Recently she started curating exhibitions and is looking forward to doing more of that in the future.
Lidia has been exhibiting her art work in numerous galleries in and out of Los Angeles. Her paintings are owned and continuously acquired by devoted collectors in Israel, United Kingdom, France and the United States (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago)
